Thank you Aaron. I dont know how you do it. Perspex top for a round table . Precisely cut. Well packaged for shipment to me nearly 300km away. All at less than half the price of my…

Weld-On 3 is a water-thin, fast-setting solvent cement for bonding acrylic (PMMA). Applied along a tightly fitting joint with a needle applicator, it is drawn in by capillary action and chemically fuses the two surfaces together, creating strong, crystal-clear welds. Ideal for display cases, signage and precision fabrication where clean, nearly invisible joints matter.

Because it is extremely thin, Weld-On 3 is applied after the parts are assembled: hold or clamp the pieces firmly together, then run the cement along the joint with a needle applicator bottle or a fine brush. Capillary action draws the solvent deep into the joint in seconds. This makes it exceptionally fast and tidy for well-machined, closely mated edges, but it is not a gap-filling adhesive — if your parts do not meet cleanly, a medium-bodied cement such as Weld-On 16 is the better choice.
Weld-On 3 is one of the fastest-setting acrylic cements available. Joints typically tack up within a couple of minutes and can be carefully handled after 10 to 15 minutes, with the bond continuing to strengthen over the following 24 to 48 hours. Its speed and clarity make it the go-to cement for acrylic display cases, retail point-of-sale stands, sign fabrication, model making, brochure holders, museum and collector cases, and general plastic fabrication.
For best results, surfaces should be clean, dry and free of protective film, dust and fingerprints, and edges should be flat and square. Work in a well-ventilated area, wear suitable gloves and eye protection, and keep the cement away from finished faces of the sheet, as stray solvent can mark or craze a polished surface. Store the can tightly sealed away from heat and ignition sources.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Weld-On 3 and Weld-On 16?
Weld-On 3 is water-thin and applied by capillary action along a tightly fitting joint, giving very fast, nearly invisible welds. Weld-On 16 is a thicker, syrup-bodied cement that can fill small gaps, so it is the better choice when parts do not mate perfectly.
How fast does Weld-On 3 set?
Joints usually tack up within a couple of minutes and can be carefully handled after about 10 to 15 minutes. Allow 24 to 48 hours for the joint to reach full strength before putting it under load.
How do I apply Weld-On 3?
Assemble and hold or clamp the parts firmly together first, then run the cement along the joint line with a needle applicator bottle or fine brush. Capillary action draws it into the joint. Surfaces must be clean, dry, closely mated and free of protective film.
Does Weld-On 3 dry clear?
Yes. It fuses the acrylic surfaces together and leaves a transparent bond line. Take care to keep it off visible faces of the sheet, as stray solvent can mark or craze a polished surface.
Glue this material
For a strong, clean join, degrease the surfaces and use an adhesive suited to this material. Clamp lightly while curing and keep the protective film on until you are ready to bond. Need a recommendation for your project?
